Hike
Let’s Get Grindy! We are in the BIG mountains here! While nestled into our camp, we have the ability to explore a mammoth area. We want to get you to the top of some stunning scenery, see a butt load of waterfalls, touch glaciers and put in some serious sweat equity. All the hikes in this area involve elevation and big mountains. HOWEVER, there are still intermediate options and we will have an advanced hiking option and an intermediate hiking option for our guests.
There are many amazing hikes to choose from. We particularly like Perley Rock and Marion Lake, however, hikes are chosen based on safety, weather and group dynamics. The objective is to get some spectacular views within the area while keeping everyone safe and happy.
Raft
Are you ready for the raft of your life!? Golden is located beside the Columbia River which offers some amazing white water rafting. The famous Kicking Horse Run is known for it’s continuous Class 3 & 4 whitewater sections. Sunday we will have an option to take the afternoon ride with Kootenay River Runners.
Explore
The area is about 25km from Kinbasket Lake where a historical inlet pours into the bottom of the lake. The inlet, although running outwards, is an easy paddle up to the ford where the current is strong. Remnants of the old railroad, the formation of the dam and spectacular scenery line this narrow passage. An evening paddle will be offered during the trip.
