SUP Social & Skills at Musreau Lake

SUP Social & Skills at Musreau Lake

We have booked the Musreau Lake Group Campsite and plan to enjoy and Friday night, Saturday morning and Saturday afternoon at the lake.

Participate in a few ways:

  1. Get out for a social paddle with a group Friday Night (must have SUP experience)

  2. Take a Basic Flatwater Course Friday night or Saturday morning

  3. Camp overnight Friday

Why take a SUP course, isn’t SUP pretty easy?

Leisure SUP can be relaxing for SOME people. We cover the very basics of leisure SUP’ing and then move on to more technical skills.

These skills are part of a PROGRESSION:

  1. Basic Flatwater Skills

  2. Advanced Flatwater Skills

  3. River Skills 1

  4. River Skills 2

You must have the basic flatwater skills to add on more advanced skills

Our Flat 2 Flow River SUP Course in August is based off of the principles in the Basic Flatwater Course. This is where we start!

What we cover:

  • Board anatomy and terminology, including options for purchasing boards based on your goals

  • Safety considerations

  • Gear for cooler temps and extending your season

  • Standing, sitting, turning, draw stroke, front stroke and braking

If you have paddled for years, but want to UP your game, start here, a proper draw stroke and front stroke is a game changer.
