Hike into the forest with professional guide, Danielle Roscher and citizen mycologist Ryan Sullivan to forage for mushrooms. August is a great time to look for fungi. Our mushroom man, Ryan will teach you a variety of skills for choosing shrooms that will tantalize your taste buds, are edible, or are the mushrooms to stay away from. Each guest will get the opportunity to forage for themselves and then add to a back country mushroom inspired appetizer over a cook stove in the field, weather permitting.

Ryan will bring a variety of his own dried mushrooms to add to our cook pot.

The tour begins at 9am and ends around 4:30pm.We meet at the Tumbler Ridge Visitors Info Center where you can find local products, handmade soaps, botanicals and of course, hiking gear!
